The Helsinki Polytopes works were a big hit at the Musica nova Helsinki festival in February. They were based on the Polytopes concept by the Greek experimental composer Iannis Xenakis, in which a composer and architects worked together to create works in a specific space. One of those spaces was under the Metsämäentie bridge in snowy Central Park – among joggers and roe deer. Helsinki Festival introduces, under the same bridge, a summer version of the work entitled Machina ex Naturae and conceived by Tuuli Kanerva, Teemu Mastovaara and Leo Lindroos. Bring a picnic basket or put on your running shoes and come experience how music creates another musical space under the bridge.
The installation is open from 30 August to 31 August at 15:00–20:00
