Event Introduction

After more than a decade-long hiatus, Regina returns in its original lineup. The indie pop trio, consisting of Iisa Pajula, Mikko Pykäri, and Mikko Rissanen, will perform their 2011 album Soita mulle in its entirety at Huvila. The album marked a turning point for the band’s sound, as their electronic pop evolved to incorporate more guitar-driven and shoegaze-inspired elements. Upon its release, the album was praised for its sophisticated production and melancholic atmosphere, reaching the top ranks of the Finnish album charts.

Regina has left a strong imprint on Finnish indie music, and its members have continued successful careers in various projects. Iisa Pajula has released acclaimed solo albums, while Mikko Pykäri has worked as a producer and composer for artists such as Chisu and Yona, in addition to releasing his own music under the name Pykäri.

At Huvila, Regina will not only perform Soita mulle but will also present a selection of their most beloved songs from different stages of their career. In particular, the track Jos et sä soita has become a classic of Finnish indie pop.

Litku Klemetti is one of the most distinctive and beloved figures in Finnish indie and alternative music. Led by Sanna Klemetti, the band blends post-punk, prog, and Finnish schlager in a truly unique way. Litku Klemetti’s performances are known for their energy, unpredictability, and the feeling that anything can happen. Over the years, Klemetti has won over both audiences and critics, with last year’s Funny Girl album making it onto Helsingin Sanomat’s list of the best albums of the year. Helsingin Sanomat critic Aleksi Kinnunen described the album as a “sonic masterpiece” that radiates a deep love for Finnish pop music from the late 20th century.

Originally from Kuhmo, Klemetti has built a distinctive career that fuses progressive rock, vintage Finnish schlager, and the rebellious spirit of punk. Early on, she found inspiration in progressive rock albums at her local library and cassette recordings of Finnish schlager classics. Her breakthrough album, Juna Kainuuseen, released in 2017, brought her wider recognition, with the title track becoming a major hit. The album was awarded the Critics’ Choice prize at the Emma Gala.

In 2025, Litku Klemetti celebrates her 10-year anniversary with a major tour, a special anniversary concert, and new music. This year, Litku is more relevant than ever, and her performances are filled with fierce playing, deep emotions, and infectious joy.
