Programme:

AnnanHouse Disco
A-lava
The Annantalo AnnanHouse disco is a celebration of disco culture and electronic dance music. Annantalo’s own DJ Nicolas Sebastien is in charge of the music, spinning top records from house to disco. On A-lava stage, you can get carried away by the rhythm, encounter various characters and participate in shared guided dance sessions. You can dress up in your own glittery disco garb, if you’d like!

Yökukkujat (Night Owls) workshop
2nd floor corridor
What is hiding in a forest at night? Have you ever felt that someone is watching you in the dark, hiding in a tree or peeking out from behind a tree stump? In this workshop, you will get to create a fun pop-up creature from paper and cardstock. The workshop will be hosted by Annantalo art educators.

Hiding Worms workshop
2nd floor corridor
Summer flowers are in full bloom in the large artwork on the wall of Annantalo’s 2nd floor. But where has all the life gone? In this workshop, we’ll create cheerful little worms to peek out from between the flower petals. The workshop is led by Annantalo’s art educators.

Kutistunut kummitus (Shrunken Ghost) poetry session
Theatre classroom
Welcome to a peaceful, immersive and atmospheric poetry session. As dusk falls, we settle down to listen to night-themed poems by Kirsi Kunnas and Tuulia Aho. The characters of the poems wake up from their hiding places and appear as moving images on a screen. The night-time soundscape enhances the experience, and the room has places for resting. The poetry session will be hosted by Annantalo art educators.

Sound workshop Vinku ja Suhina – Whine and Whistle
Classroom Kuvataide 1
Recommended age: 5+
What is a synthesiser? What kind of noise does a drum machine make? What kinds of sounds do machines hide inside? Visit a sound workshop and give making electronic sounds a try. You will get to dive into the world of electronic music under the guidance of music producer Alpo Nummelin. You can draw inspiration for the workshop from the sound-themed Should We Shout? exhibition in Alagalleria.

Jamkids music workshop (Note! At 16:00–18:00)
The hall
Join an experience-rich music session intended for children of all ages. The nonstop music workshop will allow you to sing, move, play hide-and-seek, and try different instruments. The activity is hosted by the fun Jamkids teachers. Welcome to make music and find out more about the Jamkids music playschool arranged at Annantalo.
