Event Introduction

Kamppi Chapel offers a serene oasis and a possibility for quiet contemplation and meditation during the Night of the Arts on August 15th when Arja Kastinen plays a 2-hour long concert with the Finnish and Karelian traditional, plucked string instrument kantele. Kastinen is a Finnish folk musician and researcher specialized in these ancient instruments, their old playing techniques and improvisation as a method of quiet exaltation.

Free entry to the Chapel from 17.30, time of the concert approximately from 18.00 to 20.00. The audience may attend the whole event, or enter and leave when they please, respecting the quiet nature of the event.
