Event Introduction

In his monologue Time of the Landscape, Ilmari Paananen explores how a heap of stones becomes culture and how culture becomes a heap of stones. He explores stories remembered and forgotten, beliefs, theories, rules and laws, as well as the cultural history of Sompasaari. The performance will take place on a treasure beach, where a stone stack will be built. You are welcome to bring a stone with you to be used as part of the performance.
