Jo’s Punch & Judy Show
Event Introduction
Vintage clown-like glove puppet theatre from London, England. Meet the world famous Mr. Punch and Victorian friends performed in classic English seaside style by Professor Jo! Chaotic join-in fun for children and adults alike. There’s Judy and Baby, a Laughing Policeman, Joey the Clown, a sausage-eating crocodile, the manic Beadle & Ketch duo, and more (including a ghost!). Full of tradition with over 360 years of history and culture behind it, Punch & Judy is modern and unique to Jo’s Shows in Finland. Performed for day-cares, primary schools and birthday parties around Helsinki since 2022, native English speaker Jo operates locally from his home area of Aurinkolahti and invites you to ‘Roll-up!’ and come give a big ‘Hello!’ to Mr. Punch for your local Night of the Arts. He’ll be pleased to meet you, too!
Family event held in open public play park space after internal facilities close at 16.00. Access via gates alongside Vedenottamontie 6 and Mustakivi park, Aurinkolahti. Event is subject to weather – no show in rain or high-winds (cancellation notification will be made in such event).
