Open doors: Kintsugi and workshops

Event Introduction

The Design Museum and the Museum of Finnish Architecture will be open late in the evening on the Night of the Arts, with free admission to the museums from 16:00 to 22:00. The museums’ joint programme invites visitors to explore kintsugi, the traditional Japanese method of repairing ceramics, free of charge, as well as take part in workshops and architectural walking tours (a fee will be charged for architectural walking tours).

    The entrance for wheelchairs and buggies is through the museum’s courtyard, which can be accessed through the gate on Ullanlinnankatu. The lift and showrooms are accessible. Wheelchairs can be borrowed on site. There is an accessible toilet in the basement. The Design Museum does not have an induction loop.
