The Night of the Arts at Amos Rex
Event Introduction
Come and spend the Night of the Arts at Amos Rex! To celebrate the evening, we are offering free admission to the museum from 6 pm to 11 pm. Entry closes at 10:30 pm, and visitors can stay until 11 pm.
The Night of the Arts programme includes:
Artist’s meeting – Kim Simonsson talks about his art and Moss Giants in the Lasipalatsi square at 6 pm. The event is in Finnish and you do not need to book in advance. We will also speak Swedish and English if necessary. The tour starts from the domes, close to Kim Simonsson’s artwork Wanderer.
Singing of the Moss Giants – the usually so quiet Moss Giants sing at the Lasipalatsi Square at 6 pm and 11 pm.
Clearance sale! Amos Rex Shop will be selling products at attractive prices in the square from 5 pm to 11.30 pm. The special sale will feature discontinued products and lots of other fun stuff.
Amos Rex exhibitions – We now have a total of four different exhibitions on show: the large collection exhibition I feel, for now, Josefina Nelimarkka’s studio exhibition The Cloud of Un/knowing, the permanent exhibition of the Sigurd Frosterus collection, and Kim Simonsson’s Moss Giants in the Lasipalatsi Square and on the Bio Rex terrace.
Kevin Abosch’s AI-generated film Am I? in collaboration with Helsinki Festival, Amos Rex and Helsinki International Film Festival – Love & Anarchy.
Entrance to Amos Rex closes at 10.30 pm, half an hour before the museum closes. If the museum is full, we may have to close the doors earlier.
Welcome, see you at the museum!
