The Night of the Arts has been celebrated in Helsinki since 1989 and is part of the <strong>Helsinki Festival<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"element-block element-paragraph\">\n<p>The Night of the Arts is always created together with the citizens. Anyone can register their own art or cultural event to be part of the programme. The programme welcomes open and free events taking place across Helsinki on August 20, 2026. We do not publish event listings with ideological content or events primarily focused on selling products. A cloakroom fee or a moderate material fee (max. \u20ac5) is permitted, provided that it has been stated in the event description.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"element-block element-paragraph\">\n<p>The event organizer is responsible for implementing the event, obtaining necessary permits and notifications, and ensuring safety.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n  <section class=\"post-process centered max-medium base-margin-top base-margin-bottom\">\n  \t<div class=\"row\">\n\t\t<h2 class=\"type-h3 col-lg-8\">\n\t\t  Schedule:\n\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t<div class=\"steps-wrapper col-lg-8\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"process-single-step\">\n  <h3 class=\"type-h4\">17.4.2026<\/h3>\n  \t<p>Event registration begins<\/p>\n  <\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"process-single-step\">\n  <h3 class=\"type-h4\">31.7.2026<\/h3>\n  \t<p>Events submitted by this date will receive translated summaries and will be included in Night of the Arts communications.<\/p>\n  <\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"process-single-step\">\n  <h3 class=\"type-h4\">18.8.2026<\/h3>\n  \t<p>The last day to edit event information through the online form. Familiarize yourself with the City of Helsinki&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hel.fi\/en\/business-and-work\/develop-tourism-and-events\/organising-an-event-in-helsinki\">event organizing guidelines<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"element-block element-paragraph\">\n<p><strong>2. Plan your event responsibly. <a href=\"https:\/\/helsinkifestival.fi\/taiteidenyo\/en\/organize-your-event-responsibly\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"30496\">Instructions available here<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"element-block element-paragraph\">\n<p><strong>3. Create your event on the Night of the Arts website by August 18, 2026.<\/strong><br><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/helsinkifestival.fi\/taiteidenyo\/en\/log-in\/\">Fill out the form carefully.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"element-block element-paragraph\">\n<p><strong>4. Double-check that the information you submitted is correct.<\/strong><br>Events will be published on the website in Finnish, Swedish, and English after moderation. The sooner you register, the sooner your event will be published.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"element-block element-paragraph\">\n<p>Event details can be updated through the same form, but please do so as early as possible. After August 18, no further changes can be made.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"element-block element-paragraph\">\n<p>Organizers who submit events after July 31 are responsible for providing their own translations (Finnish, Swedish, English).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"element-block element-paragraph\">\n<p><strong>5. Done!<br><\/strong>Each event organizer is responsible for keeping their event information up to date. If your event is cancelled, please inform us immediately at <a class=\"\">taiteidenyo@helsinkifestival.fi<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"element-block element-core\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Marketing and communications<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"element-block element-paragraph\">\n<p><strong>Helsinki Events Foundation<\/strong> is responsible for umbrella marketing and communication of the Night of the Arts as part of Helsinki Festival.
