Cie Alexandra N’Possee: ZIG ZAG

Event Introduction

The French hip-hop dance company Cie Alexandra N’Possee will perform three times across the city during the Night of the Arts. In the street dance piece ZIG ZAG, a story of family, encounters, and gentle masculinity unfolds through movement and music, centered around an abandoned park bench. This humble bench transforms in many ways, holding memories of both moments of solitude and significant meetings.

Since 1994, Cie Alexandra N’Possee has specialized in community-driven works that use dance to foster dialogue between people and communities.

The performance is presented in collaboration with Helsinki Youth Services – young dance enthusiasts from Helsinki take part in a workshop led by the company and join the performances on the Night of the Arts.
