Glimpses of the autumn programme of Teatteri Avoimet Ovet and human life in the circle of nature
Event Introduction
Explore the autumn programme at Teatteri Avoimet Ovet, which examines human life as part of the circle of nature: growth, withering, remembering and renewal. Various life stories combine to form layers, with emotions and memories intertwining to become parts of the same web of life.
One of our performances on the Night of the Arts is Soteorpo, which will premiere on 8 September, with performances running 7 September–21 November 2026. Soteorpo, based on the novel by Minna Lindgren, is directed by Hanna Kirjavainen. It is a darkly comic portrayal of a marriage overtaken by dementia and a social satire of the absurdity of care systems and bureaucracy.
The foyer, the bar and the box office will open at 5:30 pm. The programme will start at about 6 pm and end at 8 pm. The doors to the theatre will be open throughout the event. Special Night of the Arts ticket offers will also be available during the event.

The event is not accessible with a wheelchair.
The event has an accessible toilet.
For safety reasons, we are currently unable to provide a wheelchair space in the theatre hall.
The auditorium has unnumbered seating for 100 people. Access to the seating area is via a short flight of stairs. The space is challenging to navigate for people with reduced mobility. Unfortunately, there is no room for rollators in the auditorium so they must be left in the foyer.
The auditorium has an induction loop, with the best reception in rows 2, 3 and 4.
The bar/foyer is accessible. There is an accessible toilet. -
