Recently, Hautamäki has been exploring the landscape in his paintings – both as a visual element drawing from art history and as an emotional and existential experience. “The landscape offers a place where I can freely explore the relationship with nature, emotions, memories, history, and the present moment, as well as the question of being in the world itself.”
