Event Introduction
The improvisational music of electroacoustic ensemble Les Ventouses is unconventional and unpredictable, combining free jazz with a beefy electronic sound. The trio combines a rich tapestry of instruments, including a modular synthesiser, a saxophone run through effects and looping pedals, and unique percussion sets that combine traditional South American instruments, such as the pandeiro, cuíca and cajón, with homemade rattles and stompers, such as a traffic sign amplified with contact microphones or a bag of Duplo bricks. Every performance is a one-off spectacle!
