Sure to draw large crowds to the Cable Factory on the Night of the Arts, the electronic duo Kontinen & Sassi (Tero Kontinen and Pekka Sassi) will perform at the Luulot pois matinee, hosted by the MUU Helsinki Contemporary Art Centre, with Tom Backström providing recorded music for the evening.
The electronic duo Kontinen & Sassi constructs long, constantly evolving soundscapes that unfold like a dreamlike film without visuals but full of unexpected plot twists. Industrial noise? Cinematic ambient? Sound collage? The duo’s output defies easy categorisation, incorporating elements of all these genres.
