Event Introduction

Traditional Orthodox Night of the Arts in the heart of Helsinki, at the Holy Trinity Church and in the church garden, again on Thursday, August 20th.
The program starts on August 20th at 5:00pm and continues until approximately 10:00pm.

Program in the church garden:

5:00pm Opening of the event
5:15pm Accordionist Lilia Melnikova
5:45pm Violinist Antonio Rantanen accompanied by piano artist Anastasia Injushina
6:30pm Shaika Balalaika ensemble

Program in the church:

7:000m Panel discussion: “Many new members are joining the Orthodox Church. What are they looking for, and what do they find?” The discussion is moderated by author and Master of Theology Johannes Lahtela, featuring community educator Marja Seppi-Lasarenko and student Tuure Heikinheimo.
8:00pm Akathist for Creation, performed by the St. Andrea Youth Choir under the direction of cantor Larissa Qvintus-Petsalo.

8:30pm Violinist Antonio Rantanen accompanied by piano artist Anastasia Injushina
9:15pm Pianist Olga Filippova
