Outsider Art Festival OAF: Forest of Hope Exhibition
Event Introduction
What does the world look like from the perspective of an outsider artist? And what could it look like?
The visual arts programme of the Outsider Art Festival answers these questions with the group exhibition Forest of Hope at Pertin Valinta X Tiketti Gallery from 20 to 30 August 2026. The exhibition features Jenni Carlén, Jarkko Salminen, Mikko Kallinen, Juha Pesonen, Petter Hartzell, Riina Noro, and Mikael Valjakka.
The original versions of Valjakka, Pesonen, and Noro’s artworks from the West Metro Hope exhibition are also on display. The exhibition has been curated inclusively. The planning and execution are handled by the visual arts artistic team: Johanna Konttinen, Jaana Miettinen, Christine Langinauer, and Elvira van Eijl.
Opening hours: Wed–Fri 14:00–18:00, Sat 12:00–16:00. Free admission.
Private guided tours are available for support ticket buyers.
The exhibition opening will be celebrated on 19 August 2026 at 17:00.
Outsider Art Festival OAF is a partner festival of the Helsinki Festival, held from 20 to 30 August 2026 in Helsinki and Espoo. The theme for 2026 is Hope.
