Pet a forest cat and put your hands into clay at Kanneltalo
Event Introduction
Kanneltalo’s gallery and lobby will host a free art event in which visitors are invited to stroke human-sized petting cats. The event is coordinated by JP Väisänen and begins at 5 pm with the movement-based sound art performance Metsä M by musician Katja Luhtala and her collective. From 5:30 to 8 pm, participants will create a communal artwork, Metsän pohja (Forest Floor), from Finnish clay and other natural materials under the guidance of biologist and artist Susu Rytteri, integrating forest microbes that promote wellbeing into the exhibition.
