Saaristolaisorkesteri Darrapé – the concert
Event Introduction
The twenty-strong archipelago orchestra Darrapé will perform in Helsinki on the Night of the Arts.
The orchestra was set up in Kustavi and is the oldest and most traditional archipelago orchestra in the region – and, as far as we know, the only one. The ensemble is mainly composed of brass instruments and complemented by the sweet sounds of clarinets and flutes, alongside a percussion section that generates highly unusual sounds. The setlist will include popular music as well as some more classical numbers.
The concert begins at 7 pm and lasts approximately one hour.
