Event Introduction
Visit Kohta on the Night of the Arts to explore the exhibition The art of.
The exhibition’s curators, Anders Kreuger, Markus Lähteenmäki and Mika Savela, have invited four artists who have positioned themselves between various professional disciplines (visual arts, architecture, graphic design and floral arranging) and forms of artistic expression (painting, sculpture, installation and performance).
The exhibition features the design and publishing project L’Esprit de l’escalier, launched in 2012; artist and architect Henrietta Lehtonen (Finland, 1965); Hedy Leung (Hong Kong/England, 1975), who found her way into visual art through experimental ikebana; and the painter Eglė Ridikaitė (Lithuania, 1966).

7 pm The Art Walk Kalasatama special tour on the Night of the Arts
PLEASE NOTE: The starting point is Galleria Longa&Fönäri (Tukkutorinkuja 6). The route will be led by artist Enni Vekkeli and include the exhibitions at Kohta and Galleria Huuto. The tour, which will last approx. 1.5 hours, is free of charge and no advance registration is required. Please note that the walking tour is not accessible.

On Thursday, 20 August, Kohta is open from 12 noon until 9:30 pm. Free admission.
