Night of the Arts at the Finnish Literature Society: The grey box – archive researchers tell the stories behind the collections
Event Introduction
The Society’s archive materials are stored in grey boxes, which conceal countless stories. What kinds of events, experiences and life stories are documented in the materials? What kinds of emotions does arranging and describing the materials evoke in archive researchers?
The grey box event, held in the Society’s great hall, brings archival materials to life through stories and photographs. It is inspired by the black box events organised by Helsingin Sanomat.
The event in the great hall starts at 5:30 pm, and visitors will be able to explore the Society’s archive room and library from 5 to 7 pm.
