Bilingual Poetry Evening at Gallery A2

The evening’s headliner is Italian poet Claudio Pozzani, whose original poems will be presented in Italian. Finnish translations will be read by poet Jouni Inkala, including a newly translated version of the poem Epicedio (Lamentation), which has been published in issue 3/2025 of the literary magazine Parnasso. Additional translations will be drawn from the collection Varjon marssi (March of the Shadow, translated by Petri Kaivanto, Poésir éditions, 2014).

Claudio Pozzani (b. 1961, Genoa) is an internationally renowned poet, storyteller, and musician. His poems have been translated into over ten languages, and he has performed at numerous literary festivals worldwide. In 1995, Pozzani founded and directed the Parole spalancate International Poetry Festival in Genoa and is the creator of the European poetry platform Versopolis. He has received multiple literary awards and honorable mentions.
His work spans poetry, music, novels, and film scripts. In 2022, he was named “Genoa’s Ambassador to the World.”
