When the all-time Queen of Tango, Arja Koriseva, takes the stage with the international ensemble Tango Alakulo, the result is anything but predictable!

A true star of the stage, Arja Koriseva has captivated audiences with her charisma and multifaceted musical talent for over 30 years. Tango Alakulo is an international group founded in 2017, whose permanent members include London Symphony Orchestra double bassist Jani Pensola, jazz violinist Christian Garrick, pianist-composer David Gordon, and multi-instrumentalist Jarmo Julkunen. Known for their masterful arrangements and virtuosic playing, the group blends genres from classical to jazz and improvisation. For the Huvila concert, the ensemble adds an extra layer of flavor by incorporating early music instruments.

At the heart of the evening beats the tango, of course, but this concert does not stop at tradition—it charges boldly beyond the boundaries of the genre.
