Event Introduction

Europe’s longest-running entertainment orchestra, Dallapé, celebrates its remarkable 100-year journey in 2025. To mark this milestone, Juha Hostikka & Dallapé Orchestra will host spectacular anniversary concerts and release their new album Go Go. The concert at Huvila will be the grand culmination of this exceptional jubilee year.

Founded in 1925, Dallapé has transformed countless Finnish songs into beloved evergreens and introduced international hits to Finnish audiences. Some of Finland’s greatest names in orchestral entertainment, such as Georg Malmstén, Rauno Lehtinen, and Olavi Virta, have been part of the orchestra’s storied legacy. Since 2010, the orchestra has been led by Juha Hostikka, who has restored Dallapé to its 1930s glory.

This two-part concert with an intermission will feature the incredible Maria Ylipää, as well as the Ikonen Sisters – Heini, Tuuli, and Aili Ikonen – a trio often described as the modern-day Harmony Sisters. Ylipää is one of Finland’s most radiant actor-singers, celebrated for her musical theater and film roles, while the Ikonen Sisters have captivated audiences with their harmonious jazz and entertainment music interpretations.

The evening’s repertoire includes some of Dallapé’s most cherished classics, such as Ikkunaprinsessa, Angelique, Muistan sua Elaine, Äänisen aallot, and Jälleen soittaa Dallapé. The orchestra’s signature swinging arrangements and masterful performance will shine in the magical setting of Tokoinranta.

This 11-member orchestra, finely tuned to perfection, will present a nostalgic yet energetic musical journey through Dallapé’s entire history. It promises to be a timeless encounter between Finland’s orchestral tradition and today’s top interpretations, paying homage to the past while embracing the present.
