Event Introduction

The superstar of the Spanish-speaking world, Luz Casal, is finally coming to Huvila! Casal is one of the most renowned Spanish singers of recent decades, having sold over eight million albums during her illustrious career.

Casal gained international fame when film director Pedro Almodóvar memorably featured her music in the film High Heels (1991). Especially her powerful rendition of Agustín Lara’s bolero Piensa en mí, combined with Ryūichi Sakamoto’s original score, propelled the film’s soundtrack onto charts worldwide.

Since then, Casal has collaborated with artists such as Vangelis and Ry Cooder and has captivated audiences on concert stages for decades. Songs like No me importa nada, Entre mis recuerdos, Negra Sombra, and Un año de amor have become integral parts of the canon of Spanish-language popular music.
