Event Introduction
GÁTT Nordic Arts Festival is a multidisciplinary, artist-led festival that is organised biannually, each time in a different Nordic country. The second edition of the festival will be brought to Helsinki between the 23rd – 25th of August 2024 as a friend festival of Helsinki Festival.
The programme aims to re-define what one might consider Nordic art in our contemporary context by presenting a diverse range of events: exhibitions, performances and concerts. It re-imagines the structure of a festival by giving space for experimentation and emerging ideas and expressions.
During the 3-day festival events will take place at Ylioppilasteatteri, Forum Box, Hietsun Paviljonki and MUU Contemporary Art Centre.

The festival is mostly free of charge.
Ticketed events are available to purchase with two possible prices:
5 € Unemployed, student, working under precarious circumstances, low income or no steady income
10€ Full-time employment, steady income, shared household considered middle-income or higher
