On the last Friday of August, two of the most distinctive voices of their generation take over the Huvila stage: pehmoaino and Melo. Both artists have become leading names in Finnish music with their unique styles, where powerful lyrics, a recognizable sound, and fearless individuality converge.

pehmoaino is a master of subtle deception – her music may seem delicate and restrained, yet beneath the surface lies quiet strength, deep emotions, and compelling storytelling. She broke into the mainstream in 2022 with her hit Haluun takas mun perhoset and has since established herself as one of the most influential voices in Finnish pop. An Emma Award-winning artist, she blends indie pop sensitivity with electronic textures, weaving stories of home, love, and coming of age. Her songs feel like they slip emotions directly into the listener’s bloodstream.

Her debut album, Soittorasia, released in January 2024, went double platinum in no time, capturing both critics and audiences alike. The album deepens pehmoaino’s distinctive style, where contrasts are magnetic: impeccable rhythm meets fluid vocal lines, effortless presence fuses with artistic precision. Her sold-out special concert tour, sätkynukkekoti (kaikki tarinat 2020–2024), even took her music to the stage of the Finnish National Opera.

The evening opens with Melo, a genre-defying, eccentric cult figure in Finnish rap who forges his own path instead of following ready-made ones. With six albums and two EPs, his catalog forms a multidimensional and relatable journey into his personal worlds. Melo’s music sits at the crossroads of nostalgia and futurism, capturing the listener in the moment with its unique and danceable production.

On stage, Melo is both enigmatic and captivating, creating a sense of community – like an exclusive club where everyone is welcome. His music blends melodic trap, deeply personal storytelling, and experimental production into an unmistakable soundscape where raw honesty meets dreamlike elements.
